July Arrives

The rest of June was a pleasant month in general.
Every week-end I watched as much soccer action as possible.

At work , I was dealing with this so-called component for Notification.
Initially it seemed interesting, but as days passed by, issues cropped up and my
enthusiasm died out.
It is just today that I see some light at the end of the tunnel.

June was the month when I gained some hands-on experience at cooking.
I was alone at home for about a week.
Tried a couple of vegetables, varities of omelettes , besides the usual dal-chawal.
Also tried making Bread - da - chivda.

The 2nd half of June was even more exciting. The OMD program that I'd been eagerly waiting for
finally came. It promised to be more than just exciting. I call it the best of both worlds' experience.
Did some adventurous and exciting activities which I could'nt have ever done here in Pune.
To mention a few, Tent Pitching, Raft Building, Trek, Rope Bridge Walking etc ....And our group's
famous punch line became.....I wanted to laugh and So I laughed.

Towards month-end, watched and savored the worl-cup final matches and some rare Indian Cricket
victories abroad.
Needless to mention, caught a lot of action on Radio Mirchi, because........it's hot.

My life in the first week of June.

Showers marked the exit of May and the arrival of the habitual monsoon again.
Many people become far too restless, when the mercury soars up in mid-April, saying that
at this rate, May would be just untolerable. As a matter of fact, May is a pretty comfortable month,
here in Pune. The untimely showers cool the atmosphere, and the overcast skies give our own city a
British-type weather.

This week began on a good note, with the kicking off the FIFA 2002 World CUP. Its a cliche`, but
I would still want to use it, the first in Asia and the first to be co-hosted.

Life at work is pretty hectic , though quite lively. But these climactic fluctuations have taken their toll
on my 'usually sound' health. I did and am still experiencing bouts of weakness and maliase.
Hope the first genuine showers of rain ring out my boredom and bring in new hope and greenery !!
